treasure box 75 …

This is my little weekly post called treasure box, where I share photos and links to interesting finds I have come across as I surf, just bits and pieces that catch my attention. You might find them fun too …

Find 1 … I guess we all dream of a little holiday house at the beach. This kiwi batch (a small, often very modest holiday home or beach house) is only ‘a mere 40 square metres and rests on two thick wooden ‘sleds’ that allow it to be shifted around the beach shore’. (from here)

I must admit to being a little nervous thinking about dragging a house around sand dunes, but I think I could holiday here very easily … you can find more images and a link to the designer at Bodie and Fou.

Find 2 … if you have some ‘craft time’ on the agenda this weekend, you might like to make a macrame bracelet … so pretty! Tutorial and more images here

Find 3 … here’s some cool street art!

Rome-based artist Alice Pasquini is the talented woman behind these beautiful pieces of street art. Her work is usually carried out in colour spray paint and acrylics.

She says … I create art about people and their relationships, I’m interested in representing human feelings and exploring different points of view. I especially like to depict strong and independent women. [from here]

Find 4 … here’s a functional but cute book rack. The slant helps keep your books upright without the need for a book end. They come in several colours and I think I would love one in white …

Find 5 … here’s a quick, easy craft activity; make a fabric wall pocket that doesn’t involve sewing or glue.

The best part? You can swap out the fabrics when you would like a different look. Tutorial at Abernathy Crafts
